Our children and teenagers are reading less and less 📚 …
Because today, the pages of a book have powerful competitors: screens 📱.
We touch a book, we feel it, we sense it… 😌
And as we read, this book ages a little with us, in a way.
Reading requires time, patience, calm, and slowness ⏳.
But this patience is quickly replaced by fast-paced, interactive, and overstimulating content… 🥹
Everything moves fast, and it becomes exhilarating ❗️
When we read, we learn to think 🤔.
When we're behind a screen, we learn to react quickly—often without thinking twice.
We consume content… and sometimes, we don't even choose it 🤷♀️.
Encouraging reading doesn't mean rejecting screens. It's about restoring balance ⚖️, so as not to fall into a saturated, immediate, simplified world 🤯.
Books 📖 are a precious asset for navigating life and enlightening our consciousness.
Let's not abandon them for what is simply "easier."
And you ❓What book are you reading this week ❓
Have a great week, dear readers, one day at a time, one page 📃 at a time... with joy 😃 — and with ✨✨✨ Miam la Vie ✨✨✨ of course 😉.
