Magical thought n° 151

Thinking about death can seem bleak. Yet, if we shift our perspective 🔭, it's precisely this awareness that makes life so precious ✨.

The awareness that our time on Earth is limited compels us to ask ourselves this simple question, one I ask myself and you regularly: what truly matters ❓

When we become aware of the finite nature of life, certain concerns lose their importance 🙃.

You're stuck in traffic 😤. So what?

You got a stain on your clothes just before leaving the house 😭. So what?

Your Wi-Fi is slow, and it's really not the time for that 😖. So what?

You notice a scratch on your car 😡. So what?

These few examples pale in comparison to the number of pointless conflicts, the excessive search for recognition, or the superfluous accumulation of material possessions that pollute our minds 🤯❗️ 💪 Aren't we the world champions 💪 of pointless ego clashes and petty squabbles 😉❓

I think that the awareness of death cuts through the superfluous and shines a spotlight on what truly matters 🌟. 🌟 Our existence has meaning precisely because it is unique and limited in time ⏳.

As Scott Peck says in his book The Road Less Traveled :"It is death that gives life its meaning."

The awareness of death doesn't take anything away from life. It makes it denser, richer, truer, and more… urgent ♥️.

This is what I truly believe, and what I've decided to share with you at the start of this week.

I wish you a wonderful week, filled with ✨✨✨ MIAM la Vie ✨✨✨.

Yes, life is YUM, YUM, YUM… not every day, but as often as possible 😆.

Because if life were infinite, what would a moment be worth… ❓
